Real estate developer SPEEDWELL announces that will install photovoltaic panels on the roofs of its office buildings. Starting with February 2023, SPEEDWELL will begin the installation of a 400 kWp photovoltaic installation on the roof of MIRO (Bucharest). The project is expected to be completed by the end of March.

The same action will be taken for RECORD PARK Offices, the office building, part of a mixed-use ensemble with the same name, located in Cluj-Napoca. In March 2023, 150 kWp of photovoltaic panels will be installed on the roof of RECORD PARK and the stand-alone sport center combined.

This move is a part of SPEEDWELL’s sustainability plan, which focuses on using innovative techniques and technology to improve the environmental footprint of its properties.

SPEEDWELL’s decision to install photovoltaic panels on MIRO and RECORD PARK is a significant step towards achieving its goal of becoming a leader in sustainable real estate development. The company believes that the addition of these panels will not only reduce its carbon footprint, but also provide a cost saving solution for its tenants.

Didier Balcaen, SPEEDWELL’s CEO and Co-Founder, mentioned “We are committed to reducing our environmental footprint and making our properties more sustainable. The decision to install photovoltaic panels on MIRO and RECORD PARK is a natural, yet significant step in achieving our goal of continuous improvement in developing sustainable real estate assets. We believe that by investing in renewable energy, we can not only reduce our carbon footprint but also provide cost savings for our tenants”.
