    ING Bank Romania and Viitor Plus, through the Harta Reciclarii program, are launching an initiative that provides information and support in the process of collecting and recycling bulky furniture items. With the message “You don’t need them anymore, but you recycle them properly”, the initiative aims to help those who want to reuse or recycle:

    • Bulky furniture items (sofas, mattresses, beds, armchairs, etc.), windows, doors, sanitary ware, carpets, garden furniture, recreational items, large toys;
    • Large household appliances (refrigerators, washing machines, televisions, etc.).

    Those interested can access the interactive map showing the operators designated to collect bulky items for the counties of the country where ING has Offices and their contact details. Customers can call directly to the relevant supplier for the area in which they are located, ordering home pick-up against a national average cost of 150 lei or taking them personally to the marked premises, with zero pick-up costs.

    ING Bank Romania and Viitor Plus thus become the partners of those who want to make changes in their homes and give up non-functional items in a responsible way.

    “The Recycling Map promotes reduction and reuse, not just recycling. Extending the lifetime of bulky objects is crucial to reducing resource consumption. Before discarding an item of furniture or an appliance, it is important to try to repair it to extend its life. If they are still functional but we no longer need them, we can donate or resell them. Recycling should only be considered as a last resort, because we can only save the materials from which those items were made” – said Radu Hădăreanu, manager of the Recycling Map.

    “On average, 40% of personal loans contracted at ING Bank Romania are aimed at home renovations, showing us that it is an area of increased interest for our customers. Together with Viitor Plus, we offer individuals an intuitive tool, which makes it easier for them to take over large old furniture items that they no longer want when they make changes in their homes. At the same time, we provide financial solutions and sustainable alternatives, such as a series of eco products, about which those interested can discover more on ing.ro.” – said Iulia Rusu, strategy manager of the personal loans department of ING Bank Romania.
