Mark Twain International School (Mark Twain IS announces the completion of its new educational campus in Tunari, Ilfov County, set to open on September 1, 2025.

Located on the Bucharest Ring Road, between Tunari and Ștefăneștii de Jos, near the Cosmopolis neighborhood, the nearly one-hectare campus features sports fields, playgrounds, and green spaces. With a built-up area of 8,000 square meters, the campus integrates kindergarten, primary, and middle school facilities. Developed in partnership with Opus Land Development, this project represents a total investment exceeding 10 million euros.

“We are thrilled that, together with our partners at Morphosis Capital, we have created a landmark educational hub designed to meet the real needs of today’s and tomorrow’s learners. More than just a modern building, the new campus will be a space where education takes shape through top-tier academic programs, cutting-edge infrastructure tailored for the digital generation, and innovative projects leveraging emerging technologies such as AI and experiential learning,” stated Anca Macovei Vlăsceanu, Founder of MTIS and CEO of Romania Education Alliance.

School representatives estimate that by September 1, 2025, approximately 250 students, representing 25–30% of the campus capacity, will be enrolled across all three educational levels. Families interested in learning more can visit the Admissions Center at Cosmopolis Plaza, open Monday to Thursday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

The project is being developed under the umbrella of Romania Education Alliance (REA) — the national platform for growth in private education, launched by the founders of Mark Twain International School in partnership with the investment fund Morphosis Capital.

The Mark Twain IS Tunari Campus is in the process of obtaining dual accreditation — a hallmark of MTIS — offering both Romanian Ministry of Education programs through ARACIP and International Baccalaureate accreditation for the Primary Years Programme and Middle Years Programme.
