Distribuție Energie Electrică Romania (DEER), the largest national electricity distribution operator, is continuing its partnership with 11 educational institutions this year to support the dual education system.
Since 2019, more than 1,200 students have benefited from this program. In the 2025–2026 school year, 119 ninth-grade students will join 158 tenth- and eleventh-grade students who will continue their training for a future career in the energy sector. The training covers profiles such as:
- Low-voltage network operation electrician
- Protection relays, automation, and measurement electrician in power installations
- Power plant, substations, and network operation electrician
- Electrical and energy equipment electrician
- Construction electrician
- Photovoltaic systems electrician
Through partnerships with Colegiul Tehnic Energetic Cluj-Napoca, Colegiul Tehnic Energetic “Remus Răduleț” Brașov, Colegiul Tehnic ”Dorin Pavel” Alba Iulia, Liceul Tehnologic Energetic “Elie Radu” Ploiești, Liceul Tehnologic Energetic Câmpina, Liceul Tehnologic „Grigore C. Moisil” Buzău, Liceul Tehnologic „Szekely Karoly” Miercurea Ciuc, Colegiul Tehnic ”Edmond Nicolau” Focșani, and Colegiul Tehnic ,,Traian Vuia” Oradea, DEER provides the 277 students with a monthly scholarship of 500 lei. In addition, a performance-based bonus of 200 lei per month may also be awarded.
Upon completing their qualifications as electricians, graduates will have the opportunity to join DEER.
