ING Bank Romania doubled the amount raised through Home&#8217;Bank, bringing the total contribution to EUR 309,762, funds that will support 20 social causes in areas such as health, education, environment, support for vulnerable groups and interventions in crisis situations. In 2025, almost 3,000 customers contributed EUR 77,900 to the same campaign, showing once again that involvement in supporting communities is becoming increasingly important for the bank&#8217;s customers.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cWe are grateful that during this difficult period for many Romanians, our customers chose to donate record amounts through a fundraising campaign in Home&#8217;Bank, especially since support for the beneficiaries of the supported NGOs is more necessary than ever. The mobilization of a shared effort for community involvement has already become a tradition, and the evolution of the \u2018Donate in Home&#8217;Bank\u2019 campaign once again confirms that when you provide a simple, transparent, and easy-to-use solution, engagement comes naturally and gradually turns into a habit.\u201d<\/em><strong> &#8211; Alexandra Ranetti, Sustainability Manager ING Bank Romania.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/strong><em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Nearly EUR 700,000 donated through Home\u2019Bank from 2023 to date, supporting 54 NGOs<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ING Bank opens the Home&#8217;Bank donation platform to new organizations every year, which is a digital financial health tool for NGOs, which thus reduce their fundraising efforts.&nbsp;From 2023 until now, since several NGOs have been present in Home&#8217;Bank, the platform has helped 54 organizations involved and the support provided to them has reached EUR 700,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>54% of donations to health causes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The distribution of funds outlines the areas towards which ING Bank customers choose to direct their support in 2026. Most donations were directed to health projects (54%), followed by environmental initiatives, with 18% of donations. Projects dedicated to vulnerable groups attracted 17% of funds, while education accounted for 8% of total donations, and initiatives dedicated to crisis situations 3%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ING&#8217;s customer contributions turn into concrete support for the organizations they support<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>HEALTH<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>D\u0102RUIE\u0218TE VIA\u021a\u0102<\/strong> will provide, through the donations received, 20 creative painting or crafting workshops for the children hospitalized, creative materials for them, shows, magic shows, mini-concerts, theater performance, puppet show to bring joy and normality to the hospitalized children.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4 months of support for 28 workshops in the maternity ward, with 140 beneficiaries (mothers) through donations directed to <strong>Asocia\u021bia Rom\u00e2n\u0103 pentru Nou-n\u0103scu\u021bii \u00cendelung Spitaliza\u021bi \u2013 ARNIS.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The donations directed to <strong>MAGICAMP<\/strong> will cover the direct needs of children with cancer, such as food, hygiene products, medicines and psychological counseling, essential resources for treatment and recovery.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Asocia\u021bia Club Sportiv Nautic Titanii<\/strong> uses the amounts raised for 174 sports therapy sessions for vulnerable people.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Access to health services in rural Gorj: Pulmonology consultation for 200 beneficiaries and blood tests for 200 beneficiaries, through the funds directed to <strong>Asocia\u021bia Bolnavilor de Cancer GORJ<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ENVIRONMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The funds raised for <strong>Asocia\u021bia Sache<\/strong> are directed either to the purchase of a new mobile veterinary clinic or to the endowment of the Sache Social Veterinary Hospital with 3 ICU devices, which would allow the simultaneous monitoring of 6 animals in critical condition and would add an estimated capacity of approximately 800-900 critical patients monitored annually.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>100 books &#8220;The Little Joys of Nature&#8221;, 100 teachers trained in climate education through the funds raised for <strong>Asocia\u021bia Micile Bucurii.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Life Education<\/strong> <strong>for All<\/strong> will provide 4 sets of outdoor furniture to provide outdoor lessons with the students of a school in a disadvantaged area.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Donations to <strong>Asocia\u021bia Climato Sfera<\/strong> will contribute to the expansion of the &#8220;Compost Academy&#8221; project at national level.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>EDUCATION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Funda\u021bia Regal\u0103 Margareta a Rom\u00e2niei <\/strong>will use the donations received to provide 460 hot meals served to children from disadvantaged backgrounds, enrolled at the Bucharest Generations Center, 230 educational support sessions for the 50 children enrolled at the Center and the organization of 40 extracurricular activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The funds raised for <strong>Expert Forum <\/strong>are directed towards the organization of a local public speaking competition and preparatory workshops in one of the partner schools.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>With the help of donations to <strong>Asocia\u021bia The Story of Autism<\/strong>, the play &#8220;Shadow&#8221; will be performed in 8 schools in Ilfov to raise awareness among 400 students and 10 teachers about bullying of children with autism and 150 students with special educational needs will benefit from 500 therapy sessions to prevent school dropout.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Asocia\u021bia POT S\u0102 AJUT<\/strong> will use the donations received for 150 children from vulnerable communities who will benefit from the first cultural experience &#8211; a theater performance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The donations directed to <strong>Funda\u021bia pentru Educa\u021bie, \u0218tiin\u021be \u0219i Arte (FEDUSA)<\/strong> will ensure the complete equipment of the library of a rural school in a vulnerable community. The new school library will benefit 114 students from the Preparatory Class up to the eighth grade.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>VULNERABLE GROUPS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The money raised by <strong>Hope and Homes for Children Romania <\/strong>will prevent the separation of 25 children from their families, avoiding their institutionalization and providing them with the framework they need to grow up at home, safely and with dignity, with their parents and siblings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supporting programs dedicated to isolated seniors. The donations directed to <strong>Asocia\u021bia Niciodat\u0103 Singur-Prietenii V\u00e2rstnicilor <\/strong>will cover a significant part of the annual costs needed to support approximately 25 beneficiaries.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Asocia\u021bia FREE &#8211; Femei R\u0103scump\u0103rate \u0219i Eliberate<\/strong> will use the funds raised to support vulnerable women, survivors of trafficking through education, vocational training and trauma-centered support. The project includes courses, workshops and prevention sessions for children and local schools.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Asocia\u021bia Na\u021bional\u0103 pentru Copii \u0219i Adul\u021bi cu Autism din Rom\u00e2nia (ANCAAR)<\/strong> will provide from the donated money 10 workshops with a number of 8 beneficiaries for each workshop, as well as a training workshop for 10 people with autism.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The funds raised for <strong>Asocia\u021bia Necuvinte <\/strong>will support at least 450 women and girls affected by domestic and gender-based violence through free counseling, material support and a safe space.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>EMERGENCY SITUATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Habitat for Humanity<\/strong> will use the amounts raised for the renovation and reconstruction of 44 homes in Bro\u0219teni.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The &#8220;Donate and good doubles&#8221; campaign was carried out by ING Bank and the 20 non-governmental organizations between April 3-20, 2026, and ING Bank customers individually donated between <strong>1 euro and 4,400 euros<\/strong>.&nbsp;ING Bank customers can continue to donate to the causes they support, throughout 2026.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Over 5,500 ING customers donated EUR 154,881 in the &#8220;Donate and the good doubles&#8221; campaign, twice as much as in the previous edition.
