Through regular donations from its stores and all five logistics centers across the country, PENNY contributed 5,401 tons of food in 2025, valued at more than 11 million euros, to vulnerable communities in Romania. The food was donated through the Romanian Food Banks Network, part of the Romanian Federation of Food Banks (FBAR).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The partnership between PENNY and the nine Regional Food Banks focuses on collecting food products that are close to their expiration date but still safe for consumption from PENNY stores and logistics centers, and redistributing them to partner organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In 2025, PENNY donated food from more than 380 stores nationwide throughout the year. Donations also included all five logistics centers in the network, ensuring a constant flow of safe food products to the Regional Food Banks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
