Enhanced and reorganised spaces for waste, resource regeneration, water, and the Blue Economy \u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Spotlight topics include the regulatory landscape, bioeconomy and bioenergy, healthy and circular cities, and artificial intelligence \u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A more global outlook, innovative-driven, and increasingly cross-sectoral.\u00a0From <strong>3 to 6 November, the 29<sup>th<\/sup> edition of Ecomondo, the Italian Exhibition Group\u2019s (IEG) international event on the green, blue, and circular economy, is scheduled to take place at Rimini Expo Centre.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As European policies driving the ecological transition continue to gain momentum, Ecomondo confirms its role as the leading ecosystem where industry, institutions, the research community, and policymakers come together to address the major industrial and environmental transformations reshaping global markets. The event provides a <strong>strategic platform for companies<\/strong> to foster dialogue, build partnerships, and unlock new business opportunities. It also serves as a <strong>catalyst for start-ups, scale-ups, and SMEs<\/strong> operating in the circular economy, supporting their growth and accelerating innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>INTERNATIONAL REACH: A GROWING SUSTAINABILITY PLATFORM<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the 2026 edition, Ecomondo is further strengthening its international profile, with the aim of attracting an increasing number of buyers, delegations, and industry associations from all continents, in collaboration with the<strong> MAECI &#8211; Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation &#8211; and ICE &#8211; the Italian Trade Agency.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"960\" height=\"639\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sustainability-today.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/ECOMONDO-20252.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5261\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.sustainability-today.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/ECOMONDO-20252.jpg 960w, https:\/\/www.sustainability-today.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/ECOMONDO-20252-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.sustainability-today.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/ECOMONDO-20252-768x511.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.sustainability-today.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/ECOMONDO-20252-150x100.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.sustainability-today.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/ECOMONDO-20252-696x463.jpg 696w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through a <strong>multi-stop Roadshow<\/strong> spanning Spain, Morocco, Germany, Hungary, and Canada, the event aims to strengthen institutional and commercial ties while expanding its international network. This network already includes <strong>Ecomondo Mexico<\/strong>, a strategic platform for the Latin American market and a key showcase for Made in Italy environmental technologies; <strong>Ecomondo China<\/strong>, which this year has evolved into a <strong>Forum held in Shanghai<\/strong> on 11\u201312 June; and the <strong>Green Med Expo &amp; Symposium<\/strong> (27\u201329 May) in Naples.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the involvement of new European and international institutional partners, including the European Commission, as well as leading continental agencies and key stakeholders such as the OECD and FAO, <strong>Ecomondo\u2019s conference programme<\/strong>\u2014curated by its <strong>international Technical and Scientific Committee<\/strong>\u2014<strong>will feature additional summits, conferences, and conventions held in English<\/strong>. Strong focus will be placed on key European regulatory dossiers, with high-level insights into the <strong>Circular Economy Act, Bioeconomy Strategy, Biotech Act II, the Pact for the Mediterranean, the RESourceEU Action Plan, and the Critical Raw Materials Act,<\/strong> as well as new provisions on <strong>Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"960\" height=\"639\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sustainability-today.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Ecomondo-Sera-1_079.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5262\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.sustainability-today.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Ecomondo-Sera-1_079.jpg 960w, https:\/\/www.sustainability-today.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Ecomondo-Sera-1_079-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.sustainability-today.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Ecomondo-Sera-1_079-768x511.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.sustainability-today.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Ecomondo-Sera-1_079-150x100.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.sustainability-today.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Ecomondo-Sera-1_079-696x463.jpg 696w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Other key themes at Ecomondo 2026, with a continued focus on international cooperation and strengthening partnerships with the Mediterranean and Africa, will include healthy and circular cities, artificial intelligence and new digital technologies to support the ecological transition, as well as the bioeconomy and bioenergy \u2013 two sectors that form one of the pillars of the transition to low-emission, highly circular production systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the first two days of the event, the&nbsp;<strong>States General of the Green Economy<\/strong>&nbsp;will return. This event is organised by the Foundation for Sustainable Development in collaboration with the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security (MASE) and promoted by the National Green Economy Council, with a&nbsp;<strong>second plenary session held entirely in English<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The presence of a <strong>growing number of vertical communities<\/strong>, united by the shared goal of accelerating the ecological transition, confirms Ecomondo\u2019s role as an increasingly cross-cutting global platform. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A NEW LAYOUT DEDICATES AN ENTIRE HALL TO THE TEXTILE SUPPLY CHAIN<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the key new features of the 29<sup>th<\/sup> edition of Ecomondo is a <strong>dedicated exhibition sector for Textiles<\/strong>, <strong>which will take up an entire hall<\/strong>.
