MedLife continues its nationwide Health Caravan initiative, originally launched during the COVID-19 pandemic to support communities with limited access to essential healthcare services. This summer, the MedLife’s Timi\u0219oara team is carrying the project forward through the Summer Medical Caravan, taking place throughout July and August in the counties of Timi\u0219 and Cara\u0219-Severin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This year\u2019s edition focuses on gynecological screening. Women in western Romania can benefit, based on the physician\u2019s recommendation, from gynecological consultations, ultrasound examinations, and Pap smear testing. Test results and personalized medical recommendations will subsequently be communicated through their family physicians. The prevention component is complemented by educational sessions on HPV vaccination and guidance on breast cancer screening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition to gynecological services, the caravan provides preventive screening across several medical specialties, including cardiology, gastroenterology, general surgery, vascular surgery, and general medicine. In partnership with the Timi\u0219 County Public Health Directorate, the program also includes epidemiology services, such as VDRL testing and awareness activities highlighting the importance of vaccination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThrough this initiative, we aim to bring healthcare closer to local communities. Every consultation carried out during the caravan has the potential to detect a condition early, giving patients a better chance of receiving effective treatment,\u201d said Adrian B\u0103descu, CEO and Founder of MedLife Medici\u2019s<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n During July, the MedLife Health Caravan visited the communities of Ma\u0219loc and Gottlob in Timi\u0219 County, where multidisciplinary teams from MedLife Medici\u2019s provided free specialist consultations and medical evaluations. Across the two stops, approximately 200 people received medical examinations and personalized recommendations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In August, the caravan continues its journey through Cara\u0219-Severin and Timi\u0219 counties, with scheduled visits to Bozovici, Costeiu, Jebel, Moldova Veche, Pojejena, and Coronini. In each location, MedLife\u2019s multidisciplinary teams will continue delivering preventive healthcare services and specialist assessments, supporting the early detection of medical conditions and guiding patients toward appropriate treatment pathways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe Health Caravan is one of the initiatives that best reflects MedLife\u2019s commitment to the communities we serve. We launched this project several years ago with the belief that preventive healthcare should be accessible to everyone, regardless of where they live, and the results have confirmed the real need for such initiatives.
