{"id":5521,"date":"2026-09-07T12:51:16","date_gmt":"2026-09-07T12:51:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sustainability-today.ro\/?p=5521"},"modified":"2026-09-07T12:51:25","modified_gmt":"2026-09-07T12:51:25","slug":"deer-continues-supporting-dual-education-programs-for-future-energy-sector-professionals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sustainability-today.ro\/index.php\/2026\/09\/07\/deer-continues-supporting-dual-education-programs-for-future-energy-sector-professionals\/","title":{"rendered":"DEER continues supporting dual education programs for future energy sector professionals"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Distribu\u021bie Energie Electric\u0103 Rom\u00e2nia (DEER), the country\u2019s largest electricity distribution operator, is continuing its partnerships with 14 educational institutions during the 2026\u20132027 school year, supporting dual education and the professional training of young people for qualifications in the energy sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This school year, 119 ninth-grade students are joining the 206 students in grades 10 and 11 who are continuing their training at DEER\u2019s partner educational institutions. In total, 325 students are currently enrolled in dual education programs supported by DEER.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students are receiving specialized training for the following qualifications:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Low-voltage network operations electrician;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Electrician for relay protection, automation and measurements in energy installations;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Power plant, substation and electrical network operations electrician;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Electrician for electrical and energy equipment and apparatus;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Electrical construction electrician;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Photovoltaic systems electrician.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of these partnerships, DEER gives students the opportunity to undertake practical training within the company under the guidance of experienced specialists. For practical activities, the company provides students with personal work and protective equipment, as well as the materials, tools and resources required to carry out their training in appropriate conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since 2019, approximately 1,300 students have benefited from the dual education programs supported by DEER.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After obtaining their electrician qualification, graduates may have the opportunity to continue their professional careers within the company, providing a potential pathway from vocational education and practical training to employment in the energy sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through its continued involvement in dual education, DEER contributes to developing the next generation of skilled professionals and to strengthening the pipeline of qualified talent needed by Romania\u2019s energy sector.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Distribu\u021bie Energie Electric\u0103 Rom\u00e2nia (DEER), the country\u2019s largest electricity distribution operator, is continuing its partnerships with 14 educational institutions during the 2026\u20132027 school year, supporting dual education and the professional training of young people for qualifications in the energy sector.
