Klap, Romanian startup established in 2019, announces its membership in the Circular Economy Coalition – CERC. Klap thus marks a new stage in the company’s commitment to promote sustainability and innovation in the e-commerce industry, but also to contribute substantially to the stimulation of the circular economy in Romania.

“We are happy to join the Coalition for the Circular Economy – CERC and to be actively involved in promoting the circular economy in Romania. Klap.ro assumes the responsibility to act in a sustainable way and to contribute to building a better future for all. Through our involvement in CERC, we aim to develop and implement innovative practices that reduce the carbon footprint and encourage responsible consumption,” says Cristian David, CEO of Klap Romania.

“We welcome Klap’s accession to CERC and we are glad that our efforts to promote at the legislative level, but also in the business environment, the repair and reuse of used electrical and electronic equipment are useful for young companies, which put innovation at the forefront and encourage consumption responsible for goods and services, taking into account the prevention of waste generation by effectively and correctly extending the useful life of products, all of which is reflected in a lower carbon footprint for the final consumer, but also for the company,” said Alexandru Laibar – Executive Director of the Coalition for the Circular Economy – CERC.

Klap.ro is a Romanian startup with the mission to collect, refurbish, reuse, and help recycle mobile phones, tablets, laptops and their accessories that would not normally get a new life.
