More than 5,500 household and non-household prosumers were connected to Delgaz Grid’s distribution network at the end of 2022, with installed power up to 400 kW. They produced and injected nearly 7,500 MWh into the grid, according to company data.
“In August 2023 there were already almost 12,000 and we expect their number to exceed 17,000 at the end of this year. That’s why investments are needed more than ever to modernize and strengthen distribution networks,” said Cristian Secosan, General Manager of Delgaz Grid.
According to E.ON’s 2022 sustainability report, the company made total investments of 654 million lei: 282 million lei in the electricity sector and 372 million lei in the natural gas segment.
Thanks to the investments worth 136.5 million Euros made by Delgaz Grid, approximately 23.5 million Euros more than in 2021, the length of the distribution networks increased significantly during 2022, by more than 710 km for natural gas and with over 470 km for electricity, including connections. In 2022, Delgaz Grid distributed 25.3 TWh of natural gas and 4.9 TWh of electricity to its customers from over 3,600 localities in the counties of the northern half of Romania.
