HILS Development is launching the Life@HILS social responsibility platform and announces its support of social, educational and environmental impact initiatives derived from the company’s mission to build responsibly and transform communities.

HILS Development’s social responsibility projects are structured around four essential pillars for urban development – environment, education, social solidarity and business conduct. Throughout 2025, HILS’ social responsibility efforts will be carried out together with strategic partners, Salvați Copiii Romania, Asociația Parcul Natural Văcărești and UrbanizeHub.

“HILS Development has the creation, transformation and development of new urban communities in its DNA. We have been constantly involved, over the past years, both in the life of the new communities created in HILS residential projects and in supporting social and educational causes relevant to the members of our communities. Today, we are happy to launch Life@HILS, a social responsibility platform that reflects both our long-term vision for the development of the Bucharest and a model of active involvement for each and every one of us, the residents of Bucharest. We run and support high-impact projects on each of the four basic pillars of the HILS strategy – environment, education, social solidarity and business conduct, initiatives tailored to the current needs of Bucharest’s citizens”, says Iulia Iana, Marketing Director of HILS Development.

“Safe communities for parents and children in the digital age”, a series of debates organized by Salvați Copiii and supported by HILS Development

HILS Development and Salvați Copiii Romania are announcing a partnership to help communities to navigate safely in the digital environment. Thus, HILS Development is supporting “Ora de Net”, a program by Salvați Copiii, which will host a series of debates, “Safe communities for parents and children in the digital age”. This includes four events dedicated to parents in Bucharest where they can learn and discuss how children can use the internet in a beneficial and safe way. Topics such as digital literacy, mental health in the age of technology and creating healthy digital family rules will be addressed by cybersecurity experts, parenting and social networking specialists, to whom parents will be able to ask questions about the issues that concern them.

“Data from the most recent survey conducted by Salvaţi Copiii shows that more than 50% of children have experienced cyberbullying, and a large proportion of parents say they do not feel adequately prepared to deal with this online danger. In a world where access to the internet starts at an increasingly young age, constant support and clear tools to help parents recognize online dangers and teach their children how to navigate safely while developing a healthy balance between real and digital life are needed more than ever,” said Gabriela Alexandrescu, Executive President of Salvaţi Copiii.

“Bucharest, the city of parents”, a debate organized together with UrbanizeHub

“Bucharest, the city of parents” is a HILS Development initiative to understand the needs of parents in Bucharest and how friendly the city is perceived by parents. Together with UrbanizeHub, an organization dedicated to promoting sustainability and urban innovation in Romania, we will be discussing on May 27th the identified needs among parents from Bucharest and how we can make the city a better place for them and their children. The event will include discussions with key experts from various fields such as education, public administration and urban planning, in order to understand what the citizens of Bucharest need for a city fit for parents and children, relevant case studies and potential solutions in this direction.

“Explorers in the world of evening butterflies”, an event dedicated to the HILS Brauner community

Together with the Văcărești Natural Park Association team, HILS Development is organizing special events to mobilize the already formed communities of HILS Pallady, HILS Splai and HILS Brauner, namely thematic tours and other events focused on promoting biodiversity, renaturation and green solutions in urban environments. The first in this series is an event dedicated to the HILS Brauner community, “Explorers in the world of evening butterflies”, which will take place on May 26 and aims to familiarize children and parents with urban biodiversity and the role of pollinating insects. The three completed and inhabited residential projects in HILS Development’s portfolio, where such activities will take place, total a community of more than 8,000 residents.

HILS Development manages six large-scale residential projects in the east of the Bucharest, two of which, HILS Pallady and HILS Splai, are sold out. HILS Brauner is a residential project completed in 2024 and already inhabited, and three others are in various stages of construction – HILS Republica, HILS Sunrise and HILS Titanium. In June 2025, HILS Development will finalize the first phase of HILS Republica, i.e. two blocks with 369 apartments, part of the largest urban regeneration project in the eastern part of the capital.
