PENNY Romania launched the sixth sustainability report for 2022. The report reflects the company’s activity and analyzes the environmental, economic and social impact it generates.

The report was made according to the GRI Standards methodology, developed by the Global Reporting Initiative, the most well-known sustainability reporting standard, the chosen option being the Core (basic) one. The report was also made following the SASB (Sustainability Accounting Standards Board) reporting frameworks in the specific Food Retail & Distributor Industry. The steps included in this document are in line with the organization’s sustainable development strategy and also follow the three pillars that define sustainability within PENNY:

    1. Sustainable assortment,
    2. Energy, climate and resources,
    3. Employees and society, each activity being detailed with specific measures, results and objectives.

The concrete measures and solutions described in the sustainability report aim both to increase efficiency and to reduce the negative impact in the medium and long term.
