Delgaz Grid invested more than RON 1.24 billion (approximately 247 million euros) in 2025 to modernize and expand its electricity and natural gas distribution networks, according to the company’s 2025 Sustainability Report. During the same period, the company directed more than RON 1.42 billion (approximately 282 million euros) to 1,280 suppliers of services, products and works.

Around 97% of the suppliers receiving orders were Romanian companies, with total payments exceeding RON 1.38 billion (approximately 274 million euros). Through its procurement activities, Delgaz Grid supports the development of local supply chains, the business environment and companies operating within its distribution area. In addition, 39 new suppliers were pre-qualified based on social and environmental criteria.

Delgaz Grid operates one of Romania’s largest energy infrastructure networks, comprising approximately 63,000 km of electricity distribution networks and more than 26,000 km of natural gas networks. Through these networks, the company distributes energy to approximately 3.6 million residential and business customers.

In 2025, Delgaz Grid distributed 24.9 TWh of natural gas, up 4.6% compared with 2024, and 4.9 TWh of electricity, broadly in line with the previous year. The company’s distribution infrastructure plays a key role in supporting economic activity and the development of communities across its operating region.

With approximately 5,500 employees, Delgaz Grid is one of the major employers in Romania’s energy sector. E.ON Romania, the group to which Delgaz Grid belongs, retained its second position among the most attractive employers in the industry, according to Catalyst Solutions’ “Most Desired Employers 2025” study and the undelucrăm.ro platform.

More than RON 1.24 billion invested in energy infrastructure

Of Delgaz Grid’s total investment in 2025, more than RON 700 million (approximately €139 million) was allocated to the electricity distribution network, while more than RON 545 million (approximately €108 million) was invested in natural gas distribution infrastructure.

Key projects completed during the year included:

• the modernization of 492 km of electricity networks;
• the modernization of 476 substations and three transformer stations;
• the replacement of 436 km of natural gas pipelines and connections;
• the expansion of the electricity distribution network by more than 700 km; and
• the expansion of the natural gas network by approximately 320 km.

Overall, Delgaz Grid modernized more than 900 km of networks and added approximately 1,000 km of new infrastructure in 2025.

Continued investment in the modernization and digitalization of electricity distribution networks is delivering tangible benefits for approximately 1.6 million customers in the Moldavia region. According to ANRE’s report on performance indicators for 2025, Delgaz Grid recorded the best performance in Romania for electricity supply continuity for the fifth consecutive year.

Since entering the Romanian market in 2005, the company has invested more than €2.2 billion in the modernization and expansion of its electricity and natural gas distribution networks.

Smart grids to support renewable energy integration

At the end of 2025, approximately 38,700 prosumers were connected to the Delgaz Grid network, while the capacity of renewable energy generation installations connected to the network reached approximately 1,400 MW.

The company also continued its digitalization program, bringing the total number of smart meters installed to more than 651,000. More than 106,000 smart meters were installed during 2025 alone.

In parallel, Delgaz Grid continued implementing strategic projects such as ADMS (Advanced Distribution Management System) and the European CARMEN project, aimed at increasing the flexibility, resilience and efficiency of energy infrastructure.
