Alongside the Minister of Environment, Waters and Forests, Diana Buzoianu, and the Secretary of State Raul Pop, who will address the institutional perspectives on the development of the SGR and the strategic directions for the coming period, will be

The discussions will highlight the progress made by the SGR, the operational challenges, but also the steps necessary to consolidate a high-performance packaging return and recycling system, in line with European objectives regarding the circular economy.
“The first two years of implementation of the Guarantee-Return System show both important progress and challenges that need to be addressed to build an efficient and transparent mechanism, adapted to the needs of all stakeholders involved. The SGR is a pillar of the transition towards a responsible consumption model: it increases the degree of packaging collection, protects the environment and offers a level of data and transparency that brings us closer to good European practices”, says Diana Buzoianu, Minister of Environment, Waters and Forests
The Return & Recycle Insights Conference – 2 years of SGR in Romania is held with the support of RetuRO, ING Romania, CanPack, TOMRA and Coca-Cola HBC, organizations that actively contribute to the development and operation of the Guarantee-Return System in Romania.
