Starting on Friday, October 14, Kaufland Romania, with the support of its partner Reverse Logistic Group (RLG), is launching an extensive campaign to encourage the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment (DEEE). Customers receive 25 percent discount coupons in exchange for the purchase of new small appliances.
Thus, between October 14 and 30, customers are expected to bring their old electrical, electronic or household appliances to the RLG stand within the participating stores, as follows:
    • October 14 – 16 – Kaufland Bucharest Tei and Kaufland Deva stores
    • October 21 – 23 – Kaufland Bucharest Rahova and Kaufland Pitești Războieni stores
    • October 28 – 30 – Bucharest Aparătorii Patriei and Kaufland Roman stores
The collection schedule is between 15:00 and 19:00 on Fridays, respectively 10:00 and 18:00 on Saturdays and Sundays.
Used electrical equipment is accepted, regardless of size – it can be both small (blender, hair dryer) and large (refrigerators, washing machines, etc.) appliances. Customers will receive a single discount voucher, regardless of the number of equipment submitted.
The voucher can be used until 15.11.2022, in the same store where the equipment was collected, for a single transaction, regardless of the number of appliances the customer wants to purchase on that voucher. The 25 percent discount cannot be combined with other Kaufland Card promotions and will apply to the shelf price (standard or reduced).
“The future of the planet and future generations depends on how we relate to the consumption of resources, and this is the responsibility of each of us. We are starting this new campaign together with our partners at Reverse Logistic Group, with the hope that in a few years, handing in used equipment and selective waste collection will become common practice. We want to produce a paradigm shift and create a culture of recycling among our customers”, said Valer Hancaș, Director of Communication and Corporate Affairs, Kaufland Romania.
