Romanian company Axionet IoT announced the installation of a new energy production system, consisting of 1,024 photovoltaic panels, on the roof of the Altex Turnu Magurele store. The total power of the installation is 400 kWp.

Axionet’s partnership with Altex Romania began as early as 2021, when it installed over 2,500 photovoltaic panels in the retailer’s store network. In 2022 and 2023, Axionet’s collaboration with Altex Romania involves the installation and commissioning of photovoltaic plants with a total capacity of over 5 MWp, as well as fast charging stations for electric cars.

The panel system on the Altex stores enables the supply of green energy to the stores as well as to the charging stations for electric vehicles.

Thus, Axionet installed a modern station in the parking lot of the Altex Turnu Măgurele store that allows three simultaneous charging for electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles.

“The roofs of large shopping centers present a major opportunity for owners to reduce costs for electricity supply, but also for total or partial energy independence. Also important is the support that shopping centers can offer to the development of local infrastructure for powering electric cars. Against the background of rising energy prices, green car fleets and interest in protecting the environment, we are seeing a growing demand. Axionet has the right expertise, technology, and teams to expand its activity in this segment,” said Gabriel Ionita, founder and CEO of Axionet IoT.
