“This year we will launch a financing program for the development of recycling facilities in Romania. We are working on this project, on this state aid scheme, and I assure you that this program will be launched this year.

We must find effective solutions to encourage the separate collection of waste in public institutions. We have to make people be more responsible and teach them how to collect waste,” Andrei Liviu Antipa, Vice-president, Environment Fund Administration (AFM) said during Waste Management Forum organized by The Diplomat-Bucharest and Sustainability Today.

“Another program we are preparing is the one regarding the rehabilitation of public buildings, which we also hope to launch in no more than 2 months. The guidelines are finalized, we only have to finalize the strategy to implement the programs I mentioned.

Besides these, we also want to launch a support program for the development of water and sewage infrastructure.

Depending on the budget available in the second part of the year, we are also thinking about a waste management program dedicated to town halls.”
