Romanian start-up Flip launches in Greece

    Published on

Flip.ro, the Romanian start-up that encourages circular economy by refurbishing phones and tablets that they reintroduce on the market as good as new, announces the launch on a new market. Starting September, the platform is also available in Greece, the fourth country where customers can buy or sell refurbished phones, after Romania, Bulgaria and Hungary.

Over 200 phone and tablet models from producers such as Apple, Samsung, Huawei and Xiaomi are available on Flip.gr. Refurbished phones and tablets purchased on Flip.gr by consumers in Greece will be delivered from the headquarters in Bucharest. In the case of selling used phones on Flip.gr, customers will evaluate their phones on the platform, then send the devices to the head office, where they are checked by Flip’s technical specialists in their own service.

“Launching on the Greek market is part of our ambitious plan to change the way people in Central and Eastern Europe buy and sell electronics. The decision to expand came from our desire to meet the growing demand of Greek consumers for easy and safe access to refurbished electronics. The experience gained in the 3 markets in which we already operate – now 4 – as well as the geographical proximity allow us to offer consumers excellent experience in both sales and purchase processes. Considering the size of the market and the upward trend of circular economy, we expect a sales traction like that of previously launched markets”, says Alin Luca, co-founder of Flip.ro.

As in the other countries where Flip is present, in Greece the offered services are available to both individuals and companies. The dedicated Business to Business team will assist local companies in the process of purchasing or selling their phone fleet. Refurbished phones and tablets on Flip.gr have the same benefits available to customers in other countries: they are checked with the help of 67 hardware and software quality tests, they have prices up to 40% lower compared to new devices, minimum 12 months warranty, battery health over 85%, 30 days free return, payment between 3 and 60 installments via tbi bank, and are available for purchase through the Try Now Pay Later service as well.
