GreenGroup expands sustainable truck fleet to reduce emissions in the transport of recycled materials

    Published on

GreenGroup, a European leader in the circular economy, is strengthening its commitment to sustainability by developing green solutions in the transport of recycled materials. After the positive results achieved at the beginning of the year through a sustainable transport partnership, GreenTech – the GreenGroup business line specialized in PET plastic recycling – announces a new strategic collaboration with Daimler Truck & Bus Romania and Alvely Logistik.

As part of this partnership, GreenTech is expanding its fleet with 5 trucks, equipped with technology to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. These vehicles follow the 7 vehicles introduced in March, which will support the transport of recycled materials between GreenTech’s factories in Romania, Lithuania and Slovakia to business customers across Europe, continuing to support the company’s efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and optimize cross-border logistics.

“The close partnership between the recycler, the transporter and the car manufacturer is essential to promote and implement sustainability targets, but also to create a model to follow in business practice. Our collaboration develops ecological solutions and supports the circular economy, reducing the carbon footprint. GreenTech consolidates its leading position in the recycling of PET materials at European level.” declared Alina Genes, CEO of GreenTech.

“The new Mercedes-Benz trucks entered into the Alvely Logistik and GreenTech fleet ensure a reduction in fuel consumption of up to 8%, thanks to the optimization of the cabin aerodynamics and the technological improvements brought to the running gear and the third generation of the OM 471 engine. Thus, these trucks offer a competitive advantage to our customers, helping them reduce their environmental impact, without compromising operational performance”, declares Valeriu Zaharia, CEO of Daimler Truck & Bus Romania.

“The collaboration with GreenTech represents for Alvely Logistik a strategic direction that combines operational performance with environmental responsibility. By integrating the 5 Mercedes-Benz Actros L ProCabin trucks into our fleet, equipped with the most advanced technologies for reducing consumption and low CO₂ emissions, we actively assume the role of a sustainable logistics partner, capable of supporting the circular economy with efficiency and seriousness. We believe that the future of transport is built through responsible choices, and this partnership is clear proof of this,” said Alexandru Vasile, CEO of Alvely Logistik.
