Impact Hub Bucharest, together with main partner Rompetrol and with the support of Climate-KIC, announced today the 25 startups selected for the 2025 edition of Romania ClimAccelerator, the accelerator dedicated to green innovation. Applications were open between June 11 and August 18, 2025.

The selected startups are divided into two categories:

    • 10 Pre-Seed Stage teams, at the idea validation stage.
    • 15 Seed Stage companies, with tested prototypes already validated by customers.

“We believe innovative solutions developed by startups can bring concrete, positive impact in areas such as renewable energy, circular economy, or urban mobility. Through this program, we want to encourage and support the new generation of entrepreneurs building a responsible and sustainable future,” said Costinela Drăgan, Group Sustainability & CSR Director, Rompetrol.

Now in its fifth edition, the accelerator supports green startups developing solutions in urban mobility, renewable energy, climate-smart agriculture, sustainable cities, circular economy, industrial emission reduction, ecological education, and responsible consumption. The program benefits from the expertise of Climate-KIC, Europe’s leading climate innovation initiative.

    The 25 Selected Startups

    Pre-Seed Stage
AgroX, AgriCulture, Cartea din Livadă, Namadgi Tech, NutriBlocuri, Pădurea cu Senzori, Seasons, Sustain Struct, Treebotics, Viba.

    Seed Stage
Alt.Real, Anais Beautiful Inside, CO2 Angels, Cultivá, EcoStratos, favr., Grădina cu Zâne, HiO, KICE, Optimheat One, PhotoVoltaic Windows, RongoDesign, Urban Cultor, Verde CBD Pharma, Zeroe.

    What’s Next?

From September to November 2025, the selected startups will join an intensive online acceleration program tailored to their stage of development:

    • Pre-Seed teams will focus on business modeling and market validation.
    • Seed startups will benefit from specialized consultancy, customer acquisition support, and investor readiness workshops.

Activities include workshops, case studies (Value Proposition, MVP, Climate Impact Hypothesis, Investors Ecosystem, Climate Safe Note), peer-sharing at national and international level, and meetings with expert advisory boards.

The program will conclude with Demo Day on November 17, 2025, where the 15 Seed Stage startups will pitch their solutions before a jury. The best pitch will receive:

    • Six months’ access to Startup Impact Lab at Impact Hub Bucharest.
    • Free entry to all Impact Hub events.
    • Extensive media promotion across at least 15 publications.

The Startup Impact Lab package also includes coworking space in central Bucharest, access to Startarium.ro (the leading entrepreneurial resource platform), priority access to future accelerators, and one-on-one mentoring and consultancy.

    Mentors & Jury

Among the mentors and jury members are: Anca Diaconița (Rompetrol), Oana Craioveanu (Impact Hub Bucharest), Jowita Pawlak and Morten Sorensen (Climate-KIC), Mircea Farcău (Deloitte Romania), Tiberiu Iacomi (Trained Intuition), Mircea Ilie (Argonautica Edu), Mihai Stanciu (PPC Romania), Liviu Cadariu (We For Real), and Cristian Pogan (AI Engineer in Sustainability).

“ClimAccelerator is very close to our community at Impact Hub Bucharest, as it supports both early-stage and validation-stage startups. This year we received 91 applications—far beyond expectations—many of them valuable and diverse. As shown in our recent report, Romania has over 2,300 active startups, but only a small share are climate-oriented. ClimAccelerator fills this gap, offering startups the resources and connections they need to grow and helping transform Romania into a regional hub for green innovation,” said Oana Craioveanu, CEO & Co-founder, Impact Hub Bucharest & Startarium.

This announcement comes alongside the launch of the fourth edition of the “Romanian Green Startups Overview Report 2024”, developed by Impact Hub Bucharest and Startarium, with Rompetrol as main partner and support from Climate-KIC. The report provides an overview of Romania’s green startup ecosystem, supportive legislation, case studies, and key figures.
