TenarisSilcotub hosted its second event dedicated to decarbonization: Decarbonization of the Supply Chain: Turning Ideas into Impact, uniting with 60 suppliers in a shared commitment to sustainability.

It was an occasion marked by shared discussions, collaborative initiatives on Circular Economy, Sustainable Product Design, Energy Efficiency Strategies, and Cultural Changes for Sustainability.

With a focus on minimizing waste and maximizing resource efficiency, were explored innovative approaches to product development and manufacturing processes, with lower CO2 footprint. These discussions not only highlighted the importance of eco-friendly materials and production methods but also underscored the economic and environmental benefits of embracing circularity in our operations.

Energy Efficiency emerged as a pillar of the decarbonization efforts, detailing practical strategies to optimize energy use across facilities and supply chain. From implementing renewable energy solutions to improving operational efficiency, we proved that reductions in carbon footprint can bring cost savings and operational resilience.

The event also provided a platform for the company’s suppliers to showcase their projects and progress on decarbonization. Six suppliers took the stage to present their innovative initiatives, demonstrating the power of collaboration in driving sustainable change. Each company underscored the collective efforts and tangible impact of our collaborative endeavors.

Sustainability implies also cultural changes, which is difficult, however people and organizations are working together to change the mindset and generate the belief.

“As we reflect on the outcome of this event, we are inspired by the collective involvement and determination of our partners in advancing decarbonization and sustainability. Together, we have embarked on a transformative journey towards a greener, more resilient future, where sustainability is not just a goal but a way of life.”, says Mihaela Popescu, President of East Europe, North Sea & Sub-Saharan Africa.

Moving forward, the company remains committed to achieve its CO2 targets and championing sustainability across our operations and supply chain.
