CTP earns BREEAM New Construction Outstanding for 85,000 sqm warehouse at CTPark Ploiesti

    Published on

CTP, Europe’s largest listed developer, owner, and operator of industrial logistics parks by gross leasable area (“GLA”), has received BREEAM New Construction Outstanding certification for an 85,000 sqm logistics warehouse at CTPark Ploiesti, fully leased to global fashion retailer H&M. This is the first industrial building in CTP’s Romanian portfolio to achieve BREEAM’s highest rating.

CTPark Ploiesti, located north of Bucharest, is a key logistics hub offering fast access to the Romanian capital and major regional markets. The park benefits from excellent connections to motorways, railways, and Bucharest’s Henri Coanda International Airport, while its proximity to Ploiesti ensures access to an available skilled workforce.

Less than an hour from Bucharest’s International Airport and served by convenient public transportation links, the park supports efficient commuting and business operations. Its strategic location near the A3 motorway and DN72 national road provides quick connections to Bucharest and other major cities, making it an ideal hub for companies optimising distribution and manufacturing processes across Romania and Europe.

The BREEAM New Construction Outstanding rating is the highest level under the BREEAM certification scheme and recognises the project’s advanced energy-efficient solutions, reduced carbon footprint, and sustainable design.

We are proud to see CTPark Ploiesti recognised with this Outstanding certification, which underlines our responsibility to deliver not only modern and efficient buildings, but also sustainable projects that bring long-term value to our partners and to local communities”, says Rares Glod, Construction Director for CTP in Romania.

“This outstanding rating is the result of an early and close collaboration with the CTP team, where each BREEAM requirement was carefully integrated and monitored from the concept stage to completion. The client’s genuine commitment to sustainability and attention to detail were essential in achieving such a high level of performance, making this project a benchmark for future industrial developments in Romania”, says Adrian Pop, BREEAM Assessor and General Manager of ADP Green Buildings.

The properties at CTPark Ploiesti are designed and built with a highly energy-efficient and airtight envelope, exemplary water-saving systems, and smart irrigation, ensuring exceptional energy and water efficiency, while also delivering superior comfort through fresh air supply, advanced insulation, and inclusive park amenities for all users.

For the new 85,000 sqm warehouse, efficient building performance was achieved through airtight design with reduced thermal bridges, exemplary water fittings ensuring minimal consumption, and a smart irrigation system that optimises water use.
