Colliers provided consultancy services to Globalworth, one of the largest office investor in Central and Eastern Europe and the leading player on the Romanian market, in obtaining Access4you international accessibility recertification for all 16 office buildings in its local portfolio, totaling almost half a million square metres.
At present, most Globalworth buildings offer a high degree of accessibility for wheelchair users, elderly people, and those with reduced mobility, as well as for people using prams. Globalworth Tower and Globalworth Square stand out through their additional measures designed to support other categories of users, such as those with visual or hearing impairments..
“With the support of our team, the 2025 Access4you® recertification confirms Globalworth’s genuine commitment to creating a more inclusive and user-friendly built environment. This recognition underlines the company’s ongoing focus on the health, safety and wellbeing of everyone working in, collaborating within, or visiting its properties. The Silver level achieved by Globalworth Tower and Globalworth Square highlights the company’s tangible investments in infrastructure and services tailored to people with visual and hearing impairments. We are proud to be part of this journey that raises the standards of accessibility and quality of life within the business environment”, says Roxana Isopescu, Director | ESG Strategic Advisory at Colliers.
This recertification reflects Globalworth’s continued commitment to building an inclusive environment through ongoing investment in accessible buildings and services tailored to the needs of all users. The company maintains its leading position through meaningful actions, dedicated resources and a sustainable approach to inclusion, increasing accessibility standards and achieving a higher certification level – Silver – for its flagship properties. The Access4you database, available online and via mobile app, provides the public with detailed information on certified locations free, helping people with disabilities – and anyone seeking accessible spaces – make confident decisions.
The Globalworth buildings that achieved the Access4you® Certified base level include BOB, BOC, City Offices, Gara Herăstrău, Globalworth Campus A, B and C, Green Court A, B and C, Renault Bucharest Connected, Tower Center International, Unicredit HQ, and Globalworth Plaza. Globalworth Tower and Globalworth Square are the first buildings in the portfolio to reach the higher Access4you® Silver certification level, setting a new benchmark for accessibility standards in the office sector. Ahead of the next recertification cycle, Globalworth aims to continue investing in accessibility, with the goal of further enhancing certification levels and extending the Silver standard to more buildings across its portfolio.
