Endava Sustainability Report 2025: 7% reduction in indirect emissions and a 94% participation rate in Endava University

    Published on

Endava, a leading technology services provider, has launched its annual Sustainability Report for the financial year that ended on June 30th, 2025. For the fifth consecutive year, the company showcases ESG steps for a better future, from sustainable climate actions to responsible AI, at a time when this is becoming a critical differentiator for technology companies.

In the past year, Endava’s approach has been divided into four key areas: people and communities, operating responsibility, environmental impact, and accelerating innovation. This translated into priorities such as combating climate change, safeguarding data privacy, fostering an inclusive culture, upholding human rights, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

In its 2025 report, Endava presented an updated approach to sustainability in accordance with the principles of the European Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). While not yet required to report under the EU framework, Endava is proactively aligning with CSRD and advancing its SBTi-approved emissions reduction goals. Reflecting this, the company reduced its indirect (Scope 3) emissions by 7%, tackling the largest part of its carbon footprint through closer collaboration with suppliers and employees.

„We Care is in our DNA. Our evolution into an AI-native organisation, underpinned by our strategic partnership with OpenAI, and continued investment in Dava.X to help our clients embrace new technologies more rapidly, has strengthened our ability to deliver future-focused sustainable technology solutions.„ – John Cotterell, Endava’s CEO, shares in the report

As part of its ongoing efforts to ensure sustainable development and contribute to societal progress through innovation, Endava relaunched Endava University, a dynamic, AI-powered learning platform that adapts to employees’ individual development needs. The platform delivers personalized learning recommendations based on individual profiles, desired skills, and trending topics. Employees can access a variety of multi-format content—from courses and videos to books and practical assignments—following learning journeys designed to deepen expertise in key areas. The platform also provides managers with tools to monitor team progress and offer support. As part of this initiative, Endava launched the AI Academy in March 2025, a program that aims to promote a widespread understanding and adoption of artificial intelligence within the company. The response has been exceptional, with 94% of employees completing at least one course and over 30,000 courses completed to date. The AI Academy includes foundational courses on AI literacy and ethical use, along with role-specific learning journeys covering topics like machine learning and GitHub Copilot, preparing employees to use AI with confidence and responsibility.

Present in over 29 countries, with over 40% of employees in EU locations like Romania, Poland, Germany, Austria, Sweden, among others, each one is central to the company’s sustainable operations and innovation footprint. In Romania and Moldova, Endava maintained its ISO 14001 environmental certification, while Endava Romanian also achieved TISAX certification for automotive data security. This reinforces Romania’s role as Endava’s largest EU delivery hub, serving global automotive clients with trusted and secure digital solutions.
