The “Give Light” campaign, supported by E.ON Energie Romania, returns with a new edition in which 1,000,000 kWh of energy is donated to four institutions in Satu Mare, Ciugud, Arad, and Bacău. These organizations support people facing difficult situations: children, young people, and adults with disabilities or incurable illnesses, as well as families living in socially, materially, or financially vulnerable conditions.

The company invites generous Romanians to bring positive energy to these four institutions through a simple gesture of appreciation made online between December 10 and 25.

“Give Light is a promise we make every year to the community: to be there where people need support and to offer them hope for a better future. The energy we donate is not measured only in kilowatt-hours, but in smiles, in the comfort of a family that knows it is no longer alone, in the courage of a child who feels the world is rooting for him, in the confidence of someone battling illness who realizes that there is someone beside them, helping them rise again. This is a project close to my heart, because in every story of these centers I rediscover the power of solidarity and the beauty of simple gestures. And these stories truly deserve to be heard and seen by all Romanians who want to do good,” says Claudia Griech, General Manager of E.ON Energie Romania.

In this Christmas edition, the company will bring light to four social, medical, or educational centers. “Hospice Eliana” in Ciugud, Alba County, provides support for patients receiving palliative care and for their families. At the “Blessed Scheffler Janos” Center in Satu Mare, children—including those with special needs—receive assistance through speech therapy, physical therapy, special education, sensory-motor therapies, and hydrotherapy. At the “Saint Mary” Special High School in Arad, young people are guided to discover the world at their own pace. They receive free accommodation, meals, clothing, and medical and rehabilitation support, preparing them both for a profession and for life. The fourth institution, the Community Support Foundation in Bacău, provides annual assistance to thousands of children, youth, seniors, and individuals facing hardship, illness, or other difficult circumstances.

The mechanism through which people can contribute is simple and accessible to any social media user: every interaction with the stories of the institutions posted on the social media pages dedicated to the campaign—whether a like, a share, or a comment—translates into 100 kWh of energy donated by E.ON Energie Romania to these four centers. Additionally, those who choose to become campaign ambassadors by making a dedicated post about one of the institutions and tagging the official “Give Light” page will contribute 250 kWh for each beneficiary.
