“My role of encouraging sustainable activities and social responsibility would not work without a collaboration with the teams within the company. Pollution threatens our existence, and recycling is a failed human activity not only in Romania, but also internationally.

It is certainly important to recycle, we must learn to recycle correctly. Plastic producing companies must organize information and awareness sessions regarding the importance of recycling,” Ioana Botezatu, Head of CSR, Societe Generale GSC Romania & India said during Circular Economy Conference organized by Sustainability Today.

“We initiated a campaign called Beat the pollution through which we analyzed the waste flows from the buildings where we worked. We encourage the selective recycling of waste within our company.

We have external partnerships with different companies, among them a project on the repair and reconditioning of electronic equipment.

We also had a recent project through which we donated 1,700 pieces of furniture to 24 schools, after we narrowed down our activity from the office and moved into a single building.”
