Coca-Cola HBC Romania, the strategic bottling partner of The Coca-Cola Company and a leader in the local soft drinks market, has announced a series of key appointments at both local and group levels, strengthening its position in sustainability, commercial excellence, and talent development.

Alice Nichita has been appointed Head of Sustainability at Group level, after previously serving as Corporate Affairs & Sustainability Director at Coca-Cola HBC Romania. In her former role, she led the company’s sustainability agenda, advancing key advocacy, communication, and government relations initiatives, and building strong partnerships with stakeholders. One of her major achievements was playing a central role in implementing Romania’s Deposit Return System—one of the largest circular economy projects in Europe.

Cristian Moldovan has been appointed Corporate Affairs & Sustainability Director at Coca-Cola HBC Romania. Having joined the company in 2018, he brings strong expertise in Public Affairs, Communication, and Sustainability, particularly in legislative matters and stakeholder engagement. He has contributed to major business and sustainability projects, including advocacy efforts against discriminatory taxation and the implementation of the Deposit Return System. In 2025, he joined the Group’s Public & Regulatory Affairs team as Packaging Regulatory Manager. In his new role, he will coordinate the Corporate Affairs & Sustainability agenda, focusing on strengthening the company’s reputation, developing stakeholder partnerships, supporting balanced regulation, and accelerating sustainability initiatives and strategic communication.

Cristian Munteanu has joined the Group’s Commercial Excellence team as Revenue Growth Management (RGM) Manager. With 17 years of experience in the company, he has played a key role in shaping Romania’s commercial strategy across Insights, Category Development, Trade Marketing, and RGM. As Director of Commercial Excellence, he contributed significantly to developing RGM capabilities and led major transformations, including initiatives to optimize commercial investments.

He is succeeded by Cristina Botgros, who takes over as Director of Commercial Excellence at Coca-Cola HBC Romania. With over 18 years of experience in Finance, Sales, and Commercial functions, she brings strong expertise in commercial strategy, performance management, and cross-functional leadership. Previously, she held key roles at Molson Coors Romania, contributing to local and regional CEE projects focused on innovation and product launches that strengthened market performance and strategic partnerships. In her new role, she will focus on developing a commercial strategy that supports an efficient, sustainable, and market-adapted business model, while also strengthening team capabilities through cross-functional collaboration.
Marina Gainova has been appointed Head of Talent Development at Group level, after serving as People & Culture Director in Romania. With over 20 years of experience within the Coca-Cola system, she has held leadership roles in Russia, Ireland, and Romania, with expertise in talent management and organizational development. In Romania, she focused on strengthening employee engagement, fostering a growth mindset, developing the talent pipeline, and relaunching the Management Trainee Program.
She is succeeded by Alina Gamauf, who becomes People & Culture Director for Coca-Cola HBC Romania. With more than 16 years of international experience across Romania, Germany, Austria, and Italy, she previously served as People & Culture and Corporate Affairs Director at Carrefour Romania. Her background includes investment banking and retail, with expertise in M&A integration, leadership transitions, and HR systems implementation. In her new role, she will focus on recruitment strategy, workforce development, and employee engagement—particularly for the sales force—while accelerating the development of a strong talent pipeline and maintaining a competitive rewards strategy to support sustainable growth.
