Flip.ro, the Romanian platform that gives refurbished electronics a new life, exceeded a total of 100 million euros generated for sellers. This figure includes all transactions completed in every country where Flip is active, together with its partners.
Launched in December 2019, the platform has reached more than 360,000 people (online and offline, through buyback programmes) who have sold at least one device via Flip.ro.
In the last two years, Flip has developed and expanded its buyback programmes together with its partners, which have become an essential part of the selling journey for users who want to quickly and safely trade in their devices, including offline.
A significant share of the used electronics collected by Flip comes from offline environments, buyback programmes implemented in partner stores, an area where Flip plays an important role in educating consumers and accelerating access to circular economy solutions.
From 2021 to today, the number of unique sellers on the platform has recorded an average annual growth of over 40%, demonstrating the expanding interest in the circular economy and in smart alternatives to purchasing technology.
What Flip users sell the most
Phones remain the dominant product category on the platform, and Apple models account for approximately 55% of accepted offers.
In total, Flip has traded around 400,000 devices so far, including both phones and other types of electronics. The volume is driven primarily by users aged 25–44, the most active segment on the platform.
