The National Power Grid Company Transelectrica has announced the winners of the 2026 edition of the Energy Professional Trophy, the most important professional competition in Romania’s energy sector.
Hosted once again by Transelectrica’s Constanța Territorial Transmission Branch, the event took place from September 14 to 18 and brought together 86 professionals from all of the company’s territorial branches, the National Energy Dispatch Center, as well as its finance, investment and, for the first time this year, Transmission Network Development and Access structures.
Participants demonstrated their theoretical, technical and practical skills across 11 specialized categories. A key new feature of this year’s competition was the introduction of the Transmission Network Development and Access category, reflecting the growing importance of this area within the complex power system managed by Transelectrica’s specialists.
The Energy Professional Trophy represents a platform for professional excellence and for recognizing highly skilled specialists, while also highlighting the importance of knowledge, discipline, passion and dedication in achieving high performance in the energy sector.
Following theoretical and practical tests, a public challenge, as well as an occupational health and safety assessment, 86 of Transelectrica’s top specialists were recognized and awarded for their outstanding results.
The overall results highlighted a balanced level of performance across Transelectrica’s territorial branches. The Cluj-Napoca Territorial Transmission Branch received the highest number of awards, with five prizes, followed by the Bacău and Craiova Territorial Transmission Branches, with four prizes each. The Pitești and Timișoara Territorial Transmission Branches received three prizes each.
