A few months before its 14th edition, the Oltenia Marathon, an event organized by Distribuție Oltenia, has received new international recognition. The 2025 campaign “The Marathon of Optimism” won the Branded Content Integration category at the Innovation SABRE Awards 2026, a distinction granted to campaigns in which brand presence naturally supports a topic relevant to the public.
This award adds to an impressive track record that already includes 10 other distinctions and nominations in international competitions such as the EMEA SABRE Awards, IAB MIXX Awards Europe, and European Excellence Awards, as well as Romanian competitions including the Biz Sustainability Awards, Webstock, IAB MIXX Awards, and Romanian PR Awards.
The recognition is another confirmation for an event born locally in Râmnicu Vâlcea, which has managed to build relevance beyond its race routes through memorable campaigns and tangible community impact.
Behind these campaigns over the years has been a team made up of organizer Distribuție Oltenia, part of the Evryo Group, communications agency Rogalski Damaschin, responsible for the project’s communication strategy, Smartatletic, implementation partner, and Quantix Marketing Consulting, research partner.
“For 14 years, the Oltenia Marathon has grown through the energy and trust of an entire community that believed in this project. Its success comes from the contribution of everyone who helped it evolve — volunteers, partners, and thousands of participants over time. That is why, for us, it remains more than a sporting event: it is a meaningful project, with impact, and with people who continue to carry it forward,” said Angelica (Barbu) Răducanu, Chief Administration Officer, Distribuție Oltenia.
