From 12 to 16 August, the internationally acclaimed Madrigal – Marin Constantin National Chamber Choir returns to Constanța with its now traditional summer tour, organized with the support of Rompetrol – KMG International, the choir’s main partner. The series of performances will take place at some of the city’s most iconic venues, featuring renowned artistic productions, community concerts, and special events for residents and visitors to Romania’s Black Sea coast.
Rompetrol – KMG International is the principal partner of the Madrigal – Marin Constantin National Chamber Choir, one of Romania’s most prestigious cultural institutions, internationally recognized for its outstanding artistic legacy and global presence. Through this partnership, the company supports the promotion of Romanian cultural values both at home and abroad, contributing to the development of artistic, educational, and international cultural projects.
Recognized worldwide, the Madrigal Choir continues to expand its international cultural outreach through numerous initiatives, including recent projects in Kazakhstan that have further strengthened the visibility of Romania’s cultural heritage.
The Constanța tour opens on 12 and 13 August at the Constanța Dolphinarium with “MADRIGAL: ULTRAsunete” (Ultrasounds), a unique artistic production performed alongside dolphins.
The remaining five events will take place at ZooM Beach (Turda Street), where a stage and audience area with a capacity of nearly 1,500 seats will be specially arranged. The venue will also host the Cantus Mundi Fest Constanța, bringing together hundreds of children from choirs and ensembles participating in Romania’s National Cantus Mundi Program, alongside renowned artists and popular music groups.
The tour will conclude with the extraordinary performance “AVE MARIA”, one of the Madrigal Choir’s most acclaimed productions, featuring special guest actor Marius Manole.
Among the most anticipated highlights is the choir’s sunrise concert, an event that has become a symbol of the Constanța summer season, attracting thousands of tourists and local residents each year to experience the unique blend of choral music and the spectacle of dawn over the Black Sea.
The partnership between Rompetrol and the Madrigal Choir began in 2025 with the choir’s international tour in Kazakhstan, where the production “Madrigal: The Silk Road” premiered. The collaboration has since continued through the choir’s Christmas and Easter tours, as well as its series of performances on Romania’s Black Sea coast.
