Hidroelectrica organizes its second blood donation campaign of 2026

    Published on

Hidroelectrica, together with the Hidroelectrica Foundation and the Bucharest Municipal Blood Transfusion Center, is organizing today, September 7, 2026, its second blood donation campaign of the year, reaffirming the company’s commitment to the community and to people who, in the most difficult moments of their lives, need a simple yet invaluable gesture: blood donation.

The campaign responds to the desire of Hidroelectrica employees to get involved and make a concrete contribution to a noble cause. The fact that this is the second initiative of its kind organized in 2026 demonstrates that solidarity is not merely a principle, but a value actively embraced and shared by the Hidroelectrica community.

Blood donation means more than a medical procedure. It means empathy, responsibility and care for others. It means giving a part of yourself to someone you may never meet, but whose life you can change.

By taking part in significant numbers in the two campaigns organized this year, Hidroelectrica employees have shown that, beyond their professional roles, projects and objectives, there is a united community built around deeply human values.

“I am particularly pleased that the people of Hidroelectrica have once again responded with such openness to a cause that is, above all, about solidarity and caring for others. Blood donation is a simple gesture, but one with extraordinary human value. Every donor can mean an additional chance for someone going through a difficult time. The fact that we are organizing this campaign for the second time this year, at the request and with the involvement of our colleagues, shows how strong their desire to help is,” said Iulius-Dan Plaveti, CEO of Hidroelectrica.

“I would like this initiative to go beyond Bucharest and become a nationwide campaign. Hidroelectrica is present throughout almost the entire country through its eight branches, and our colleagues across Romania are eager to join this effort. We want to give them the opportunity to turn the same empathy and solidarity into a concrete gesture for the communities where they live and work. I believe that a strong company is, first and foremost, a community of people who know how to stand by other people. And today, through every donor, Hidroelectrica is sending a simple message: we are here to help,” said Cristina Oproiu, President of the Hidroelectrica Foundation.
